Stay away from the formation buttons in the lower left. Instead of building each individual interceptor, you build them in squads of 5, and can group them from there. Perhaps reloading the mission with that knowledge ahead of time might help.Īlternately you may enjoy HW2RM better. If you want to try your hand at HW1RM again, you are meant to burn your way up through the stream of enemy ships to the carrier. However, one of the most important features is formations. HOMEWORLD REMASTERED COLLECTION CRACKED ZIPHit 1 twice to have the camera zip to them. Hit 1 once to get their attention and start giving orders. Is this smply a case of where a game was good for it's time, but just doesn't hold up by today's standards? The camera, the controls, keeping track of your ships, all seems to be a mess. I never played the original but I find this game to be awful. I just quit on mission 2, with the constantly respawning attackers that come from the carrier that I can't seem to take down. Of course, no massive payout of RU's at the end. HOMEWORLD REMASTERED COLLECTION CRACKED FULLSo I do a full reset of the mission, and finally get the triggers that allow me to grab both the missile destroyer and complete the mission. HOMEWORLD REMASTERED COLLECTION CRACKED GENERATORSalvager returns to the mothership, but no gravity generator tech, and no Bentusi. Oh, and I should mention this was with the resource bug still in play, so I had finished that mission with 300k of RU in the bank! But I go back to another save, destroy all the ships minus the missile destroyer, pummel the ghost ship until the field drops, gain the missile destroyer, send a salvage corvette to the ghost ship, and. After losing it in the next mission, I decided to go back and get it the "right way". So that's the only one you can get until much later. That does actually capture the thing, but it doesn't reverse engineer the technology. Oye, I ended up having to beat that mission THREE TIMES tonight! First time, I had managed to capture the missile destroyer before I took down the control field. Its great at killing strike craft and if you get it, you also get the tech to build some of your own. When most of those are cleaned out, swarm the alien ship with strike craft.Įdit: DO NOT destroy the missile destroyer. The way to beat that mission is to use ships with high range (like ion frigates and multibeams and destroyers) to wack on the assault frigates without entering the field of the alien ship. Amusingly, I had targeted those three remaining frigates for salvage, and my salvagers dutifully did capture and process them even though they were already mine. ![]() The remaining two assault frigates and an ion array frigate still killed off 35 scouts and 20 heavy corvettes. A carefully timed kidnapping of the missile destroyer, the two multi-beams, and three assault frigates seemed to be the winner, though the scouts and 'vettes had to be constantly redirected onto the alien ship. That's an idea that never should have left.Ģnd edit: an untimely crash invited me to retry Sea of Lost Souls again, this time with 70 scouts, 30 heavy corvettes, and 14 salvagers. That worked really well in the second Kadesh mission, which was so much easier that I wonder if something was wrong.Įdit: the G conga line is something I habitually try-and usually fail-to use in more modern RTS games, too. The simplest example is telling a resource controller to guard a collector, but one can marshal a fleet around a carrier, for example, then just boss the carrier around and the zillion other combat ships will, in theory, follow and actually fight, while the carrier itself can tank damage long enough for its followers to arrive on the scene. Newcomers to the game may want to play around with the "Guard conga line," where you can use the G command to have units follow one another in line. Destroyers are awesome but seem to run out of the plane of battle and away any time they're grouped with anything but themselves. I've only bagged six multi-beam frigates, but I guess I'm having an easy time of it by traveling light. Heavy corvettes are awesome and assault frigates, which I used to hate and never use, are surprisingly scrappy now. It was but an annoyance, as I still have a ridiculous sum of resources and nothing to spend it on since nothing smaller than a heavy corvette is survivable. The five assault frigates killed all but three of the bombers and most of my heavy corvettes before the alien ship was disabled. I got pissed at Sea of Lost Souls, bagged the multibeams and the missile destroyer at the cost of about half my salvage 'vettes, and then rebuilt a fleet of about fifty bombers on aggressive. ![]() I had 30k resources at the end of cathedral of Kadesh, which seemed high. ![]()
